“KEEP IT NICE and COLD: From the first gulp to the last sip, the Stanley insulated beer stein keeps your brew refreshingly chilled.” Fact – the mug will go from ice cold, then it drops to cold, then down to lower cold then drop in temperature,,, It will handle two 14 oz bottles or two cans, just don’t expect it to ice cold for a period of time, without putting what ever you’re drinking in the freezer, or drop a few ice cubes in it, it will stay colder longer and the drop. I’ll go back to the large mugs, they cold longer. but that’s just my opinion

Very nice mug. The wider base makes it very stable unlike the taller travel mugs. NIce substantial handle for a comfortable grip. Packaging/shipping could have been better as this arrived in a brown envelope with no padding or bubble wrap – fortunately I was outside and was handed it directly by the driver – it would have likely dented if it was dropped on my doorstep.Keeps iced drinks cold for hours. Generous 24 oz capacity is just right.The Tervis Travel Lid for 16 oz tumblers fits perfectly. It also prevents contact with the cold or hot metal lip of the mug while drinking, if that bothers you. The plastic feels better for me.Not so much for the fit of the XccMe 30oz Skinny Tumbler Replacement Lids that another reviewer recommended – those are a smidge too small and are thus not secure and allow leakage past the rubber gasket while drinking with the lid on – but I guess it is good enough to help keep drinks colder or warmer for longer periods than without a lid.

Love This Stein!
The Stanley Adventure Big Grip Beer Stein is perfect for me! It exceeded all my expectations. I bought two to try and wish I had purchased more. They remain cold for a period that exceeded my expectations. Of course, I used them with cold liquids and frequently with iced drinks but, they appear to remain cold far longer than I expected, and far longer than any stein or similar I have tried. I love the amount it holds, temperature retention, and how easy it is to hold. I cannot praise these steins enough and plan to purchase more in the future. I use them daily and I recommend them.

Keeps Cool Longer Than You Would Expect
Stanley makes quality products – used various vacuum bottles for decades.THIS mug/stein is up to their standards and it will keep your beverage cool for a longer period of time than you would ever expect (guess). It doesn’t have a lid, but it perhaps is the slight tapper to the top opening that accounts for the outstanding performance.Easy clean too.Would purchase again.

Mine is for tea
I purchased this to replace a ceramic mug of the same capacity. Stanley drinking vessels have great thermal properties, so I’d assume this would keep 24 oz of your choice of cold beverage much colder than your average aluminum can or glass bottle. However, I use mine for tea, and with a simple cover- I’ve repurposed a lid from another container, my tea stays hot for at least an hour, and a pleasant warmth for much longer. The illustration pretty accurately reflects the orange color I have, and the extra wide base is also very nice.

Tervis Straw Lid
When you go to an all-inclusive resort, one suggestion you’ll hear over and over is to bring your own tumbler like a Tervis, Bubba, or Yeti. For me, this Stanley Stein may be the perfect mug for all-inclusive travel. Overall, it’s a fantastic mug and I highly recommend it.1- Construction: This feels sturdy with a powder-coated exterior, stainless steel interior, and sturdy handle that feels good to hold. Many alternative mugs have a flimsy handle or don’t have a handle at all (Tervis).2- Lids: As mentioned in other reviews, the lids for 16oz Tervis Tumblers fit perfectly. I used a non-matching Tervis Travel Lid that I had hanging around and liked it so much that I upgraded to a matching black one. I also purchased a matching Tervis Straw Lid. I have not seen any reviews that mention the straw lid specifically, so I thought it was worth mentioning that it also fits like it was made for it (pictures attached). It would be nice if this came with its own lid, but the Tervis lids are a great alternative and do the job of keeping sand and other debris out of your drink.3- Capacity: For me, 24oz is the right capacity to bring to an all-inclusive resort. It’s large enough to fit a generous portion and you don’t need to get out of your lounger or the pool too often. But it’s not so large to feel embarrassed carrying it around, or that people scoff at it (I’m looking at you 52oz Bubba Keg).4- Shape: I like that it is wider at the bottom than at the top which makes tipping it over just that much harder. Many travel mugs are designed to fit into a cup holder which means they’re skinny at the bottom and are more likely to tip over when not in a cup holder. This stein won’t fit in a normal cup holder, but that’s not what it’s made for. If you are looking for something to keep on your desk, this shape is more spill-proof than something that’s skinny at the bottom. The interior is wide enough to clean by hand more easily than many other options too.5- Price: This is more affordable than many other options. If you don’t care about the color and/or cosmetic damage check the “New & Used” items and you may be able to save nearly 14 dollars (which you can use on a matching Tervis lid). I own a hammertone green Stanley travel coffee mug that I love the classic style of. I sometimes wish I had gotten this in the hammertone green color as well, but wasn’t willing to spend the extra money on it at the time I purchased the black one on sale.

Great stein, keeps drinks cold
This stein does a really good job at keeping things cold, it looks nice, dishwashes well, and feels hefty. I’ve not tried it with hot drinks, but it works great with cold stuff. The main problem with the design is that it does not include a lid, and any similar stein comes with a flip-up lid that does not seal, like a traditional stein.The fix is to get a Tervis plastic lid for their 16oz tumblers – they fit perfectly and work great. Once you add on the extra lid, it’s perfect!

The stein or mug is perfect but I wish it had a lid.I use it for all my drinks because it is hard to tip or spill. I bought a smaller coffe mug from Walmart the Contigo, streeterville for $13.87 and the lids fit this Stanley Stein like there made for it. I use my Stanley Steins everyday. Make a mug that you can sip or use a straw with and it will be perfection.

Very nice insulated mug
After breaking the final 16 oz glass beer tumblers wanted a mug that would be safer and keep drinks cold. This insulated mug fits that criteria. The larger capacity allows ice cubes and with enough capacity at 24 oz to accomplish that.I’ve become so accustomed to using a coaster with a napkin with glass beer tumblers that I have to remember this saves paper use. These insulated types also don’t require a coaster so no worries that a chilled drink is going to leave a water mark on whatever surface they sit on. The wide base also makes them less tip prone.Some mugs the handle is thin and a bit edgy that holding a filled mug isn’t very hand friendly. This handle has a rounded contour to be easy on our hands when drinking. Wish that the brushed stainless on the outside was just a bit lower by 1/4″ as some using this mug get lip marks on the colored area.The best part is that these keep chilled drinks cold for many hours. Wife had hers filled with about 8 ice cubes at 3/4 full and left it on the table overnight. When getting up to do the morning routine some 8 hours later, the chilled water still had shrunken ice cubes remaining. Was curious about how cold it was when ambient temps inside the house were 79-80F, the Fluke IR temp gun came back with 46F. Have not tried them with hot liquids since it’s summer.Another nice aspect is that these are not glass so dropping them does not result in glass shards to clean up and potentially draw blood. Glass may be traditional yet performance with drinks is much improved with these. These are not a traditional on a table setting for guests yet for casual use these are a big win.Very pleased. Lifetime warranty as well.

My wife didn’t know what the hype was about until she used it. The cup kept her drink cold for so much longer than any of her cups before that she fell in love with it. This is the very best beer mug ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOOO I must say from my extensive experience over the many years, my whole family drinks beer. It is the main (only beverage but a cup of coffee) of the entire family that counts. Over the last 30 years I have had trouble finding Christmas and Birthday presents for the fam. So I have bought every beer drinking vessel available. Cow and other animal and synthetic horns, Yes. Soapstone, Yes. Growlers of every form and design imaginable, yes. Did I buy the Farthing on the bottom of the double glass, Yes. I have bought every type of beer glass material including bamboo, Glass, wood, aluminum, copper, tin, pewter, and too many other materials to list. But to no avail. I say to you, once I tried this beer drinking vessel from Stanley I was sold. I have bought and gifted many of these vessels as they are well priced and the very best drinking vessel I have found. They are very light weight, durable, keeps it cold, and stylish. I highly recommend you buy one of these mugs and throw everything else in the trash. Also it holds 2 beers and they stay cold so, that’s pretty cool too.

Perfect for my hubby
I bought this Stanley Classic Beer Stein for my husband, and he absolutely loves it! The big grip is perfect for his hands, and it keeps his water nice and cold. I love the quality—Stanley always delivers with durable products. He’s been using it almost every day, and it still looks brand new. Super sturdy.
I’ve had this mug for about 6 months now and it has done hundreds of washes in the dishwasher nothing is loose everything is sturdy the handle is great for big hands. Stays hot for a very long time and also stays cold for a very long time even with an open top

Perfect size
This thing is the ultimate stein. It will hold a full 24 0z drink. It does great at keeping it cold. I like to put mine in the freezer for about 20 before I drink out of it to get the beverage extra cold. It is very durable. The lid didn’t sit perfect on the cup but I tweaked it a little bit so now it’s flush. Cheers!

Cute mug, Stanley needs to make tops for them
Purchased two of these as gifts and both of the recipients asked about tops for them. I was only able to find silicone tops which in theory seem ok but over time will probably warp and leak.I like that the base is wider than the top and makes these less likely to be knocked over for my spill prone husband.

Great Mug

Works better than advertised
I made an iced coffee at 9am and drank it slowly throughout the day at my home office. I still had half a cup sitting at my desk at 8pm and there were still big ice cubes!! The cup doesn’t come with a lid so I wasn’t expecting it to still have cubes.
