Before Stanley became the craze i got this and love it
I use this for cold drafts over icy mugs anymore.ProsThis easily keeps the drink colder longer than cans, bottles, etc. especially with the lid down. I love it.I’ll even often pour a can in here rather than use a can koozie.It’s sturdy, light, useful, has a helpful bottle opener in the handle.cons / improvements:The only wish is that the lid be a bit more robust.Ive bought 2 of these at sperate times and had to “influence” the lid to truly sit flat on the top of the rim.Wish the lid underside had a feature that recessed into the cup to keep sloshing inside the cup. If you slosh, it will spill out the top a bit.Wish the lid was a bit thicker and maybe insulted

The Perfect Bachelor Party Gift
I planned a surprise bachelor party for my fiance and I was very torn on what to get a group of guys as a “thank you”. After lots of searching and going back and forth, I went with the Stanley beer stein and they absolutely raved about this item. They liked that the stein was large, insulated, had a bottle opener attached and that it came with a lid. Most of the guys texted me the next day to say they were using it for NFL game day and loved the insulation. The color was also perfect as the theme of the party was “Let’s Par-tee” (golf) so I wanted to keep a green color scheme. Buying favors for guys is very different than for bachelorette parties I have planned however I highly recommend this item. My only grievance was that I purchased 10 and they were all in a box and not packaged. The eco-friendly in me said no big deal since they weren’t damaged but I think adding bubble wrap in the box would be nice.

Best Double-wall Insulated Mug
the insulation in this mug is crazy. It keeps coffee hot for 12 hours and cold drinks about the same. The flip lid keeps debris and bugs out while you’re hanging around the campfire. The bottle opener built in to the handle is genius for the beer lovers. This is definitely a mug you want to have in your go-bag.

Great for Whenever.
As someone who likes to sip on their drinks when they play video games, this stein is perfection. When I’m drinking something cold such as a beer, soda, or even just plain water, it keeps it chilly and refreshing. Same goes for my coffee. It maintains its warmth through very long periods.The stainless steel interior is a breeze to clean. Making it one of my favorite things to rinse and reuse. And the handle fits my hand really well as well. As far as drinkware goes, the Stanley Stein is highly recommended for those that want to relax, keep the bugs out of their drink, and enjoy the afternoon.

Really cool piece. I bought it obviously for beer and it works great. It does add a metallic flavor when drinking and I didn’t like that. It also is not dish washer safe in my opinion. When I washed it in the dish washer the lid came out bent and I didn’t bend it. But other than that I just bent it back and it works great. I just hand wash it from now on

Forget the Koozies – This Mug is Awesome
Excellent mug for keeping my beer really cold for a long time. I used Koozies in the past to keep my beer long necks or cans cold but they were inadequate. This mug is awesome. With the lid closed, it will keep ice solid for 5 hours in the 90° Texas heat. I highly recommend the Stanley Mug!

It’s a stein, but not sure how practical
Well, it is as described. Honestly, I thought it’d be a great solution to bring 2 beers (24oz) to our kids soccer games by just pouring and clamping down. Got one for my wife and myself – judge not, folks. Reviews suggested even with the suds these were liquid tight. Well . . . perhaps if you keep them upright. But don’t trust them to be liquid tight, they just leak a bit. One did much more than the other and I exchanged it – Amazon was super-quick in getting a replacement. So, if you want to pour beers, close the lids, keep them upright well, I guess it’s good for that. BUT you’re much better off just keeping the beer in their cans, bottles and pouring once you’re there. I think there are many better options than a 24oz beer stein with a lid if you’re going to do that. Speaking of that lid, if you’re looking to drink comfortably, it’s just a bit big and obtuse honestly. Just seems like you’ll poke your eye out. Best use-case was the following – i just put a 12oz beer can in each with lid closed to keep them cold. Worked great and used a different insulated mug to drink them. Yes that defeats the purpose but that my best use-case so far. Impressive and well-built but just not for me. Someone said they used theirs as a mini growler but again, unless you’re ok with beer seeping out, can’t imagine this working well.

Favorite Cup I’ve Ever Owned
This cup is amazing, I’ve been drinking much more water since I’ve gotten it.I like this cup so much I’ve actually ended up getting three of them, one for work, and some for myself and a guest at home.There’s a few key points that make this cup a great value for the price which are are follows:- great insulation- no condensation build up on or around the cup- a lid that prevents dust from falling in- built in bottle opener- large opening that’s easy to drink from- ideal size of cup- attractive designBelow I go more into detail on these features.The insulation is incredible and I’m not sure how much the lid helps in this regard, but the end result is amazing. I’ll fill it up with ice water in the morning, work all day, and come home to it still being very cold. It’s not going to keep anything very hot or cold for multiple days at a time or anything, but it’s great for what it is.In all the time I’ve used this cup, condensation has never been a concern. There’s no need to use a coaster or wipe down the sides of the cup if you fill it up with any cold liquid.The lid paired with the insulating properties allows you to have liquid in the cup all day and not worry about any particles or dust falling in. One thing that I used to hate about using a regular glass mug to drink water from was that after leaving it out most of the day, random dust would inevitably end up floating at the top which meant I’d have to empty and clean it several times a day. With this mug, I can have several fans on, leave the cup out all day, and have 0 debris end up in what I’m drinking.A built in bottle opener adds a lot of ease to filling this cup up with beer. I never have to hunt one down and often times I open bottles for others with it since it’s always handy. Not a feature I was looking out to get in particular but I’m very glad it’s there and it’s been a lot more useful than I anticipated.Most insulated bottles have a small opening or straw to drink from that never seem to give the desired and proper flow of water from the receptacle to your mouth but the openness of this design allows you to have as much or as little as you want. If you have ice inside the cup, you can easily get some while you’re drinking to chew on if that’s something you’re wanting to do. I’m personally a big fan of nugget ice and thanks to the opening I can choose when I get some, unlike many other bottles or cups. Also because of the lid, I don’t have to go through the hassle of unscrewing a lid repeatedly every time I want to take a sip.The size of the cup is very good. It’s not to heavy to where it’s noticeable even when completely full. It fits about two beers, or enough water so that you’re not constantly having to refill it all the time.Lastly, It’s a good looking cup. I have it sitting on my desk pretty much all the time so it’d be a shame if it was an eyesore. Thankfully, I like how it looks, and with a few colors to choose from, it’s easy to pick what’s up your alley. One thing I will mention is that the different colors have slight variations in textures and design. Most notably is the metal finish/texture on the rim where you drink from. The silver colored one has a smooth reflective rim, and the white and black ones have more of a brushed metal non reflective rim that look and feel different compared to the silver.A couple of nitpicks that I should mention:The handle is not very comfortable being a hollow feeling angular plastic that’s a bit to small for my large hands to enjoy holding. The shape of the handle makes it awkward to hold perpendicularly. The handle does seem to be removable though so replacing it with another more comfortable should be simple enough.The lid can slam down on the cup if you’re not careful making a very loud and jarring sound. The design allows for you to easily control the position of the lid but it’s also easy to carelessly slam it down.The lid does not create a seal so spilling is still very much possible.Every time you put down the cup it does make a noise and reverberate. An easy fix which I’ve done is use some double sided tape and a couple magnets to attach an appropriately sized cork coaster to the bottom.Overall I consider this a great item and purchase, would highly recommend

The perfect drinking mug
First, I’ve used many different drinking vessels over time, and I tend to settle on something that can keep my water cold. So I typically settle on old ice cream stainless steel cups. They keep the water extremely cold, and whatever is in your vessel stays great. The problem is always drinking the water and eventually noticing that even though you’ve cleaned the vessel, it’s hard to get it fully clean.In terms of Stanley, they’ve created a product that essentially just works. I’ve found drinking vessels in the past, but it’s often an issue to clean them because, depending on the vessel, there are certain hinges or parts that are hard to reach. Regarding this Stanley product, believe it or not, I have found no faults as of yet. The only small crevice is outside at the bottom, which will never touch the water. Everything else within the vessel is smooth stainless steel (or at least I believe it is), and it’s very easy to clean. Most importantly, it keeps your drinks cold.Whether you’re using it for beer or water, it stays cold for long periods—Stanley advertises 13 hours. I can tell you, I’ve had water in it for much longer, and it remains cold. While you might not want to drink water that has been sitting for 13 hours, this mug is just perfect. You might think you could get a cheaper version, but consider this: the top of this mug has a lid that keeps dust and other particles out of your drink. Whatever you’re drinking stays clean, and the build quality is immaculate.This has become my mug of choice. I’ve only been using it for about two months, and I have no complaints. If I had to nitpick, some people might want more color options, but luckily, I got one that’s black and gray, which suits me perfectly. Stanley offers customization on other drinking vessels, and that would be a great option here.Again, you don’t have to use this just for beer—you can use it for almost anything. The top lid protects your drink from contamination, and I’ve even used it while playing VR. For example, if you’re in a workout session with a Quest 3 headset, the lid opens easily for drinking. Just note that the lid doesn’t seal, so if it tips over, it will spill. That’s not an issue for me, though; my main concern is keeping dust and particles out.Overall, this is a fantastic buy. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to upgrade their drinking vessel. Five out of five stars.

If you drink beer outside, this is a must have
There are plenty of insulated drinking vessels out there of all shapes and sizes, but the Stanley Beer Stein rules them all.First, it has great insulation properties. Anyone familiar with the Stanley line of insulated drink containers know who good they are.Second, the flip up lid allows you to be able to keep the beer colder while also keeping debris out of your beer. I hate it when gnats are flies can access any beverage.Third, the stainless steel used is high quality. I can’t tell you how many insulated cups I have that are now showing corrosion due to the cheaper stainless steel used in their construction. Stanley uses good steel that won’t corrode.Fourth, they made it 24 ounces which accommodates two beers perfectly if you are pouring them in. I actually take mine to one lakefront restaurant that will fill my Stanley stein and charge me accordingly. They don’t advertise this, I just asked one day and they said, “No problem”. I think they like the fact it’s a few less glasses to wash.If you drink beer, buy this. It’s a no brainer.

Perfect for Beer lovers
This was purchased as a gift, and it’s perfect for holding two beers and keeping them cold, making life easier for the beer lover in your life. The built-in bottle opener is a great touch! I rated it 4/5 only because it doesn’t come in a box, which would have been ideal for gift wrapping. However, this is a minor issue and doesn’t reflect a defect in the product itself. Also, Great price!

Nice Stein
Nice Stanley product. Can’t say for sure how long the beer stays cold because it never lasts that long in the stein. While it’s there, it does stay cold.Very durable, and easy to clean.

Look for scuffs and dents.
Be ready for scuffs and dents in the color and the metal trim. I had to return the first one as it was a gift and didnt want to give it with visual imperfections. The replacement one also had a light scuff and a tiny pin hole chip in the metal base. Im keeping the second one because I dont want to deal with another return, and its too late to wait for another replacement. The first beer stein shipped in a non padded,top sealed brown paper bag, with some white tissue paper loosely thrown in the bottom of the bag. I gave improvement feedback about shipping the beerstein in a box and thats exactly how the replacement arrived. Design wise it’s a nice looking beer stein. The wide base is great for avoiding tipping over while resting on a table. The built in bottle opener in the handle is definitly a nice touch. I also like the paper informational sleeve thats wrapped around the cup, because it looks nice and serves as extra protection before removal. I cannot speak for the longevity yet as it has not been used but it appears to be a well built cup. Definitly a nice cup for a beer drinker. The photos will be of the first cup recieved.

Field test reviewed – summer must have !
Living by the Med, our temperatures in the summer are often above 40°C so there is a genuine use for this product. Having looked on the numerous alternatives, I bought a pair of these. I have been very pleased with the vacuum insulation and also the lid. For me, that was a deciding factor as a beer / fly cocktail is low on my fun list. It seemed to be good at keeping a drink cold in strong direct sun. The claim of “8 hours cold” seems credible. I couldn’t test it, as I have never left a beer in my glass for over an hour in my entire life. The only way a beer lasts 8 hours in my glass is if I died 7 hours earlier !Seriously, great keep cold bit of kit. Well made, robust, effective. Recommended.
